Our Awareness Rally and Survivor’s Luncheon was a great success!!
We had over 150 women (and men) in attendance at the Survivor’s Luncheon. Our response from survivors, supporters and even those there honoring the beautiful women we have lost was a true blessing. The Coalition would like to thank everyone for their support. We are making wonderful strides because of you!
Because of the outstanding participation, we have been able to raise enough money to help with Artist For Ovaries AND a new venture for us… Girls Night Out.
(Girls Night Out is a local event sponsored by several local radio stations. “A night of fun with the girls. Event offers shopping, food samples, Free gift bags to the first 1,000 women, prizes every 30 minutes, purse exchange, cooking demonstrations, dance demonstrations, free massages, and live music featuring Safety Suit and Jesse James.” For this event we are going to insert information about the signs & symptoms of ovarian cancer and about our upcoming events in the Free Gift bags being distributed. This allows us the opportunity to possibly reach over 1,000 women in one setting!!!
We have been very fortunate to receive increased publicity about our group; therefore, about the signs & symptoms of ovarian cancer. These opportunities have allowed us to help individuals seeking advice about their signs & symptoms, knowing that we have helped to possibly save a life. They have also allowed us to gain several new volunteers. (We are always looking for energetic positive people ready to work.)
